What is Silhouette Soft Thread Lift Therapy?

An excellent and effective cosmetic technique to lift and tighten sagging tissues.

Fat and tissue in the face naturally drop during the ageing process, causing drooping and sagging of the skin.

Silhouette Soft Re-defines facial contours and induces collagen production. The threads are made from PLGA (Poly Lactic-co Glycolic Acid) and use reabsorbable bi-directional cones to lift and suspend the sagging tissues.

The thread forms an integrated support structure for the tissue of the face due to collagen synthesis
The lifting effect is at its peak at 6 months when collagen has formed around the threads.

The longevity of the results vary between patients, the consultation process will adress this.

Facial Contouring

Silhouette Soft threads can effectively strengthen the contour of the face, reduce roundness, lift sagging skin in the cheeks,jowls,neck and also produce an excellent eyebrow lift.

Skin Rejuvenation

By stimulating the production of collagen, there is an enhancement in skin tone and texture with a reduction in pore size.

Procedure

The procedure is done only after the application of topical anaesthetic cream and local anaesthetic injections. The Silhouette Softreads are introduced using a cannula, which minimizes bruising and swelling. The cannula is inserted deep into the skin and the threads will then remain insitu until they start to dissolve naturally after 6 months. The procedure takes around 30 mins however you will be given a one hour appointment.

You will see an immediate result after the procedure, however there will be a degree of swelling, asymmetry, bruising and tenderness.

You will be advised to rest for 2 adys allowing the facial swelling and potential bruising to settle for 2 weeks, before you will achieve a noticeable improvement.

You must refrain from exercise for 10-14 days.

Sleep face up for 3-5 nights.

Avoid alcohol for 2 weeks.

Do not take any aspirin or Ibuprofen for 2 weeks.

Avoid temperature extremes like saunas, jacuzzis, sun beds and direct sunlight for 14 days.

No dental appointments or opening the mouth wide for 3-4 weeks
